Start from the Ounaspaviljonki shoreline and swim UPSTREAM for approximately 1.5 km, after which you will drift downstream toward the aid station at Arktikum. After Arktikum, continue under the bridges to the aid station at Sairaalanniemi. Pass Kotisaari following the shoreline, then cross the river to the pier of the Local Heritage Museum.
